How We Rank Videos

Every week, our pipeline analyzes thousands of real estate videos and selects the Top 10 using the Organic Quality Score — a 7-factor weighted metric designed to surface videos that genuinely perform, not just those with the most views.

The 7 OQS Factors

Engagement
25%

Like-to-view ratio, capped at 4%. Measures audience resonance beyond passive views.

Outlier Score
20%

Views compared to the channel average, capped at 30x. Finds videos that break out of a creator's typical reach.

Duration Quality
15%

Sweet spot is 3-20 minutes. Short enough to retain attention, long enough for substantive content.

Content Quality
10%

Production style relevance — walkthroughs, aerials, and neighborhood tours score highest.

Canadian Boost
10%

Canadian market preference. REintel serves the Canadian real estate market first.

Recency
10%

Newer videos score higher. Ensures the list reflects current trends, not evergreen content.

View Volume
10%

Logarithmic view count. A video with 100K views isn't 10x better than one with 10K — but it matters.

Selection Criteria

Before scoring, every video must pass three hard filters. Videos that fail any filter are excluded regardless of their OQS score.

Engagement Floor

Like ratio must be at least 0.1% (waived for videos published within the last 72 hours).

Duration Minimum

Videos must be at least 60 seconds long. YouTube Shorts are excluded.

Channel Cap

Maximum 2 videos per channel per edition. Prevents any single creator from dominating the list.
